Photographing Sedona & The Grand Canyon
Sedona and the Grand Canyon provide very different photographic environments. Sedona combines red sandstone formations with juniper, pine and the riparian greenery of Oak Creek, while the Grand Canyon offers immense layered landscapes that change dramatically with elevation, weather and sunlight.
Early and late daylight often brings out the strongest color and texture in Arizona’s rock formations, while changing clouds, snow, monsoon weather and seasonal vegetation can transform familiar viewpoints into entirely different scenes.
